Greenville, South Carolina’s The Peace Center is a performing arts center. A music hall, theater, and amphitheater make up the structure. It debuted in 1990 as a music hall, theater, and amphitheater, and has since attracted packed crowds of residents and visitors alike.  The Peace Center is named after the local Peace family, who made a $10 million donation to help fund its construction. The facility, which opened in 1990, was erected on the site of three decrepit factories. The center, which is close to Falls Park, organizes over 300 events each year, including classical music, Broadway productions, and performances by celebrities like David Copperfield. The Peace Center, a six-acre downtown attraction with a range of world-class indoor and outdoor event venues, offers a diverse combination of spectacular performances, cutting-edge architecture, and historic preservation. Carolina Ballet Theater, Greenville Chorale, Greenville Symphony, International Ballet, and South Carolina Children’s Theater are among the five resident groups at the Peace Center. The Peace Concert Hall, the Gunter Theatrical, the TD Stage, Certus Loft, Huguenot Mill, the Wyche Pavilion, and Genevieve’s, a theater lounge, are all part of the complex. The Peace Concert Hall has a capacity of 2,115 people and has state-of-the-art acoustics. It has technologies that can handle even the most difficult manufacturing requirements. Broadway tours, huge concerts, talks, dance performances, and comedy events, among other things, are held in the Concert Hall. The 400-seat Gunter Theatre is perfect for small groups, films, concerts, and large business events. Many of the Peace Center Art Partners’ performances take place on this stage. The TD Stage has outdoor seating for 1,200 people along the Reedy River’s scenic overlook. Summer concerts are held on this stage by the Peace Center. Festivals and City of Greenville-sponsored events are frequently held at the site. Genevieve’s is a beautiful patron lounge in the Peace Concert Hall entrance, only steps away from the show. Genevieve’s is open before and after most Peace Center produced events, as well as during intermission, and has high two-story ceilings, dramatic lighting, and modern décor. Genevieve’s provides live and local performances, as well as songwriter’s events, in an intimate setting. The Wyche Pavilion, erected in the early 1900s as a paint shop for the Greenville Coach Factory, is one of Greenville’s oldest commercial structures. Weddings, dinner parties, and huge social gatherings are popular at this brick edifice overlooking the Reedy River. The renovated Huguenot Mill, which was established approximately 1880 with a concentration on textile manufacture, now houses the Huguenot Loft, which has over 8,000 square feet of event space. Weddings, receptions, and business gatherings are the most common uses for the venue. Ramsaur Studio is a 2,700 square foot studio housed in the Huguenot Mill. Master courses, workshops, small meetings, and exclusive celebrations are held at the studio. The Peace Center, with its many venues and meeting rooms, is the ideal location for concerts, group trips, business meetings, weddings, receptions, and holiday celebrations.
